On the runway and in catalogs, we’re used to seeing Victoria’s Secret models donning their trademark voluminous loose waves. But when they’re out-and-about, the Angels like to switch things up with different styles. Here’s four Angels with locks to-die-for and how you can (easily!) re-create their look at home:
1Behati Prinsloo
Braids are a huge trend right now and Behati Prinsloo astonishes with a messy, fishtail braid somehow manages to look chic.
For this look:
1. Create a deep side part while gathering hair to one side of your face and parting it into two sections.
2. Take a small section of your hair near the outer edge of one portion, and overlap it to the far side, joining it with the opposing cluster of hair.
3. Repeat with a section from the other side, using a new piece of hair from the outer edge each time.
4. To create a more tousled look similar to Behati’s, lightly pull the braid outward to loosen it and tug small pieces of hair out from the braid to frame your face.
2Candice Swanepoel
Fancy yet functional, Candice Swanepoel rocks a messy, high pony.
To get this look:
1. Curl hair with a 1 ½’ curling iron and tease at the crown of your head using a teasing brush.
2. Tease by pulling hair up and brushing underneath towards your scalp.
3. Once hair is curled and teased, pull back into a high pony, allowing for some slight bumps at the top to create volume.
4.Finger comb the curls in your pony to loosen, and then tease with hairspray to make the pony extra big and messy.
3Adriana Lima
A classic up do is perfect to highlight shimmering high cheekbones and a bold lip for this holiday season. Adriana Lima does just that with her dark hair pulled back into a sleek ballerina bun that is youthful yet sophisticated.
To get this look:
1. For this refined style, start with straight hair.
2. Apply a smoothing mousse like Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth Smoothing Mousse to the length of your hair and blow dry.
3. Tightly brush hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic once smooth.
4. Tightly twist your hair, wrapping it the base of your pony to create the bun shape.
5. Insert bobby pins to hold the bun in place.
6. For a smooth finish, spritz the finished bun with shine-provoking hairspray Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for extra-luster.
4Doutzen Kroes
Switching it up from the traditional Victoria’s Secret Angels’ beachy waves, Doutzen Kroes opted for a head full of curls with this mega-volume hairdo.
To get this look:
1. Spritz damp hair with Sebastian Volupt Spray at the roots.
2. Begin by flipping your head over and blow-drying hair while upside down.
3. Once hair is 50% dry, flip back over and blow dry hair using a 1’ round brush, lifting hair at the root and blow drying in the opposite direction that you will part your hair. This will give your hair some major volume for when you flip the hair back over to your natural part.
4. Once hair is completely dry, spray with a heat protectant and begin curling sections using a 1’ curling iron. At first curls will be tight, so brush your fingers through your hair to loosen, even flipping hair upside down to shake out.
